Among the many Specialty Items inMonster Hunter Wilds,the Commission Ticket is arguably the hardest to get. It still does involve tradinglike with Sinister Clothfarming, but not in the same way that other resources like it does.
If you want to get Commission Tickets, you’ll need a lot of luck and patience. Thankfully, there are a few ways to make this process a little less time-consuming without resorting to any sort of exploit or outright cheating.
How to Get Commission Tickets in MH Wilds
As of writing, the only way to get Commission Tickets is to buy them from Santiago, the captain of the Support Ship. He regularly visits the Base Camp atthe Windward Plainsto sell some goods, and you can get Commission Tickets from him if yourequest Equipment Materials.
Commission Tickets very rarely appear in Santiago’s inventory, and since it takes a while before his stock refreshes, players will be in for a bad time if they want to get all the things that need Commission Tickets from the Smithy. To get as many of these as possible in a short amount of time, try the following:
Buying Weapons
Santiago will always offer weapons regardless of what type of goods you request. However, he will only offer each item once —if you buy one, it will not be offered again. Buying every weapon he offers willreduce his total item pool, increasing the odds of him offering a Commission Ticket the next time he visits.
Refreshing the Inventory
It normally takes a couple of hours before the Supply Ship departs and arrives with a fresh stock of stuff to sell. You can skip thisbyresting in your tent. However, this costs Guild Points, which can be used for other important things such as saving Tempered Monster investigations.
If you want to refresh Santiago’s inventory without spending too many points,wait and rest until the Support Ship arrives with a fresh batch of items. If he still doesn’t have any Commission Tickets,quit to the title screen without saving. The next time you check Santiago’s offerings, the items will be different from the last time.
How to Use Commission Tickets in MH Wilds
Commission Tickets are used to craft special Hunting Commission-themed weapons and armor at the Smithy, including:
Players will need a total of 11 Commission Tickets to craft all of these items (weapon upgrades require two tickets).
