Recently,World of Warcraftrevealed the release date for Patch 11.1, Undermined. The first major content update ofThe War Withinlaunches February 25, with the second season of raids, Mythic+ dungeons, Delves, and PvP starting a week later on March 4.
To help facilitate the transition into Season 2,World of Warcrafthas shared a helpful guide on what achievements and rewards are going away when Season 1 ends. An abundance of these milestones will be discontinued with the new update, includingThe War WithinSeason 1: Spelunker Supreme meta-achievement, earned by attaining a 1600 PvP rating, a 2000 Mythic+ Rating, or by defeating Queen Ansurek on Heroic difficulty. Ahead of the Curve, Cutting Edge, and Hall of Fame achievements for Nerub-ar Palace, Mythic+ Keystone achievements, and Delve progression achievements – including those involving the notoriousZekvir encounter inWorld of Warcraft– will also become unavailable once they are replaced by their Season 2 counterparts. PvP rankings will be locked at 10 PM local time on February 24, so players hoping to obtain achievements or rewards from the ladder will need to do so before Patch 11.1 drops.

Not everything from Season 1 is going away in Season 2, however. The Web-Wrapped in the Finest Silks meta-achievement will still be obtainable by defeating Queen Ansurek on Mythic Difficulty, though no longer through Mythic+ or PvP as before. The Ascendant Sureki Skyrazor mount will retain the same drop chance from Queen Ansurek until the end ofThe War Within, after which it will become an extremely rare drop, and the Malfunctioning Mechsuit mount will still drop from The Stonevault when it returns to theMythic+ dungeon rotation in futureWorld of Warcraftupdates. Lastly, the Zekvir’s Raptorial Spine cosmetic will become a rare drop from the encounter, rather than as a guaranteed reward from the My First Nemesis achievement.
What’s Not Going Away in World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 2?
Titles, rewards, and achievements from these prestigious milestones rarely return to the game in any way – andWoWconfirmed it had no plans of bringing them to the Trading Postor other similar locations. Fans who want to get any of these rewards should do so before March 4, or they will likely never get the chance to earn them again.
