Patch 11.1 has officially arrived inWorld of Warcraft, bringing the first major content update ofThe War Withinto the MMO. Fans travel to the Goblin metropolis of Undermine where they must thwart the conflicting schemes of Xal’atath and her minions and Gallywix and his goons.
To help players navigate the mean streets of Undermine,World of Warcrafthas shared a helpful map that shows where some of the toughest enemies in the zone can be found. Posted on the officialWoWTwitter, this map reveals exactly where the 21 different rare spawn encounters can be found acrossUndermine in the newWorld of Warcraftupdate.
These encounters are split into three varieties: normal rares, rare Elites, and Cartel Elites. The 11 normal rares are on independent spawn timers, and can be soloed by most classes, while the five challenging rare Elites are much harder; only one can be spawned at a time, with a new one appearing two minutes after the last one falls. Lastly, the Cartel Elites are powerful bosses who are spawned by a local completion event that can only be started by a character who has Renown Tier 6 with the Cartels of Undermine and is aligned with the appropriate Cartel – includingthe secret fifth Cartel inWorld of WarcraftPatch 11.1.
There are a lot of reasons to hunt down these rares in Patch 11.1. Defeating 10 of these 21 encounters is required for the Adventurer of Undermine achievement, and many of the enemies drop special items, including parts for the D.R.I.V.E. vehicle. Rares are also a great way of increasing Renown withthe Cartels of Undermine faction inWorld of Warcraft– normal ones provide 20 reputation for each Cartel daily, while rare Elites grant 50 on a weekly lockout, and Cartel Elites 20, with a bonus 150 reputation for the Cartel the fan signed a contract with that week.
These rare spawns are just a few of the deadly enemies players will discover in the content update.
