TheWWE 2K25roster is quite extensive, though not everyone made the cut. There are nearly 30 playable wrestlers fromWWE 2K24that aren’t making the jumptoWWE 2K25, whether that’s because they jumped ship to WWE competitor AEW, were let go by WWE, or for other reasons.
One wrestler who will not be featured on theWWE 2K25rosteris Brock Lesnar, marking the first time the former WWE Champion hasn’t been featured in a main series WWE video game release since he returned in 2011’sWWE ‘12. Lesnar has been featured in every main series WWE game since then, and was even the cover athlete ofWWE 2K17. Brock Lesnar’s absence from the upcomingWWE 2K25breaks a 14-year streak for WWE video games.
WWE 2K25 Roster Doesn’t Have Brock Lesnar
Considering Lesnar’s current standing in the company, most fans likely aren’t surprised that he is not on theWWE 2K25roster. Lesnar has been off WWE TV since SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. This is due to a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant that claimed Vince McMahon had offered Lesnar “a sexual encounter” with Grant during his contract negotiations. The lawsuit also alleged that Grant was ordered to send Lesnar “sexually explicit content” of herself. Since then,Lesnar has been removed from WWE video gamesand programming. He is still technically under contract with WWE, however.
When the lawsuit first came to light in January 2024, reports indicated that plans for Lesnar to participate in that year’s Royal Rumble match were scrapped. Furthermore, Lesnar’s role inWWE 2K24was greatly diminished. He wasremoved from the game’s cover art, and changes were made so that he would only be playable inWWE 2K24’s Showcase Mode. Lesnar was still technically featured in the game, though, makingWWE 2K25the first WWE main series game in 14 years that won’t feature him in some way, shape, or form.
Lesnar’s streak isn’t the only one being broken byWWE 2K25. Shane McMahon’s 10-year run that started with 2015’sWWE 2K16is also coming to an endwhenWWE 2K25releases in March.
