With some characters already having different versions of themselves depending on the year, and Showcase hinting at other unique variants, the list is slated to be the biggest it has ever been for WWE games.
According to the latestWWE 2K25Ringside Reportdedicated to MyRise, the mode will introduce a Live Event feature which is another way to earn additional unlockable Superstars, MyFaction cards, and original MyRise characters. The report confirms that Mutiny “Demon” Finn Balor and a2K25version of MyRise original Cole Quinn will be available via the said Live Event. Surprisingly, Quinn has become a steady part of the WWE 2K Universe, with his most recent appearance being inWWE 2K24’s MyRise’s Undisputedstory.

Interestingly enough, as the Ringside Report’s focus is on MyRise, several new details regarding its direction were revealed. MyRise Mutiny is the official story, and it involves NXT superstars trying to take over WWE. While the announcement of new features like casual attire, personality types, storylines, and multiple endings were part of the deep dive, the screenshots contained in the feature revealed a current Diamond Dallas Page. Page was part ofWWE 2K24’s WCW DLC packwith his classic look, so the new model comes as a surprise. WithWWE 2K25’ssurprisingDLC plansbeing teased by the development team, it seems the final roster ofWWE 2K25will be something to behold. Many fans are already expecting other MyRise characters to be available to use in other modes since Cole Quinn’s announcement. The developers have mentioned that they’re pushing the envelope in terms of DLC, although it seems that the team has also tried to go above and beyond by listening to the fans' wishes.
