WWE 2K25is promising a massive roster jam-packed with superstars, including a few who are no longer a part of WWE. Earlier this week,WWE 2K25unveiled its full playable launch roster, which will reportedly feature over 300 playable characters. Some of these include alternate variants of wrestlers like The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, as well as a few non-playable managers who will accompany players to the ring and assist duringWWE 2K25matches.

The core focus ofWWE 2K25is The Bloodline, a legendary family of Samoan wrestlers who have been a part of WWE for decades. As such, players will be able to take to the ring as former WWE Universal Champion andWWE 2K25cover star Roman Reigns, Royal Rumble 2025 winner Jey Uso, The Rock, Rikishi, Yokozuna, and several others inWWE 2K25’s 2K Showcase mode. Of course, there will be numerous other playable wrestlers inWWE 2K25, and fans who pre-order the game will have even more thanks to the Wyatt Sicks DLC.

The WWE landscape is always changing, with wrestlers being let go from the company for one reason or another all the time. As it turns out, some of these wrestlers have made it intoWWE 2K25despite no longer working at the promotion, as noted by fans shortly after the game’s roster was revealed. For example, Baron Corbin, who has been included inmany of the past WWEgames, departed after his contract expired last November. However, his name was still included inWWE 2K25’s launch roster.

Likewise, Indi Hartwell was released from WWE in November, yetWWE 2K25will mark her fourth appearance in Visual Concept’s wrestling series. Other since-releasedwrestlers confirmed forWWE 2K25include Tegan Nox, Blair Davenport, Giovanni Vinci, Cedric Alexander, Isla Dawn, Sonya Deville, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (aka The Good Brothers), and Akam and Rezar (aka The Authors of Pain)

Wrestling games doesn’t always reflect major changes in the real WWE at launch, like whenWWE 2K24shipped without CM Punk despite his surprise return a few months before the game was released. A similar situation happened withthe long-delayedWWE 2K22, which took two years to develop and included multiple superstars who had since left WWE in its character roster. As forWWE 2K25, gamers will be able to lace up their boots when the game launches on March 14.
