But that speculation turned out to be unnecessary, asActivisionthemselves recently unveileda countdown on the official Tony Hawk website, indicating that something fresh is poised to be revealed.
Following the release ofTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, the plan by Activision was to follow up its success with a sequel in the form ofTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. However, for reasons kept within the company, Activision canceled the project -much to the dismay of passionateTony Hawkfans.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4’s cancelation was a blow to many. However, in a blockbuster move,Microsoft officially acquired Activisionnot long after. With a new parent company in charge, many fans hoped that Microsoft would reignite the franchise’s flames and slot3 + 4for active development. As it turns out, those prayers appear to be answered, withTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4seemingly on the way.
