Zenless Zone Zerowill soon launch its 1.6 patchwith a ton of story content for players to enjoy. Aside from Soldier 0 Anby’s Agent story quest, the update will also feature a new main story chapter focused on the mysterious Mockingbird faction and the characters affiliated with it. Players learned that Lycaon used to be part of Mockingbird quite early in the game, as well as his connection to Hugo Vlad. Later on, during the 1.5 Bangboo dress-up event, fans met Hugo Vlad in-game for the first time. Now, the Proxies and Lycaon are set to meet Hugo again in Version 1.6, potentially as an enemy. Developers have also confirmed that Hugo will become playable in Version 1.7, but fans will notice how his appearance is different from how they remember it.
A recent leak from reliable sourcedonuleaker has revealedsome changes made to Hugo Vlad’s in-game model in the 1.7 beta. The leak shows the differences between Hugo’s appearance in 1.5 versus what he’ll look like in future updates. The most notable alteration is the removal of his light-blue scarf around his neck, which is now replaced by a smaller one on his back. This change was previously teased by developers in Hugo’s drip marketing. However, the leak also reveals that Hugo’s head is slightly bigger, and his arms are thinner, giving him a more slender look rather than muscular. SomeZenless Zone Zerocommunity members have pointed out that Hugo’s new model has bigger vampire-like ears, fluffier hair, and brighter colors. AlthoughZenless Zone Zerohad previously announced Hugo’s alterations, developers did not specify how these changes would manifest. HoYoverse did confirm that these adjustments were made in light of players' feedback.
When players encountered Hugo Vlad during the 1.5 patch, many shared their dissatisfaction with his appearance, as he didn’t resemble his previous portrayals inZenless Zone Zero’s official artwork.
